Lamar Battle hails from Chicago Illinois where he played High School basketball (CVS) and won the team MVP. After playing basketball for Saint Paul’s College, V.A. Lamar returned home to Chicago where he coached for nearly 20 years at Simeon H.S.(assistant), College of Saint Francis (assistant) and Kennedy King College( assistant and interim head coach).
